Application Developer Intern

The Maricopa Association of Governments (MAG) is seeking a qualified computer science or engineering student for a paid Application Developer internship.  The primary duties of the internship will be creating new and modifying existing custom databases and applications.  Secondary responsibilities will include general information technology support.  The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of MS Windows and the MS Office Suite.  Skills required include C#, MS SQL 2008 and web development on a Windows platform using HTML, JavaScript, ASP, and .NET.  Experience working with ESRI GIS, Microsoft SharePoint, or Microsoft Silverlight products is a plus.  Excellent oral and written communication and organizational skills are also desirable.  Senior or graduate student with demonstrated programming ability preferred as internship will focus on needs assessment and related implementation.

Approximately 20 hours per week.  Length of internship will be determined based on candidate’s preferences, qualifications and performance.
