Councilmember Ben CooperJenn Daniels was elected to the Gilbert Town Council in 2009 and re-elected in 2012. On July 19, 2016 the Gilbert Town Council elected Jenn Daniels as Mayor, replacing John Lewis. Jenn is the founder of Operation Welcome Home, a program honoring returning men and women and their families from overseas deployments. As the liaison to schools, redevelopment, planning and in other assignments, Jenn has worked to ensure Gilbert’s success now and into the future.

Jenn is a member of several statewide and regional boards including the League of Arizona Cities and Towns General Administration, Human Resources and Elections Policy Committee, the Maricopa Association of Governments (MAG) Regional Council, the MAG Transportation Policy Committee, the Kyl Center for Water Leaders Roundtable, the AZ Bioscience Steering Committee and currently serves as Vice Chair of the Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport Authority.

Jenn has a B.A. in Humanities from Brigham Young University and has been married to Eric Daniels for 15 years. They have three sons and one daughter and spend lots of time in parks, on bikes and enjoying Arizona.
