The Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) is a five year schedule of specific projects to be constructed across the region.

Draft 2010 Census Boundary Smoothing for the Urbanized Area:
Federal transportation legislation allows for State and local officials to cooperatively expand the Census-defined Urbanized Area (UZA) boundaries. The adjusted UZA proposed maps are located here: Draft 2010 Smoothed Boundaries.

FFY 2014-2018 MAG Transportation Improvement Program (TIP):
The FFY 2014- 2018 MAG TIP CALL For PROJECTS is open August 3, 2012. Applications are available for download on the Applications Page.

FY 2011-FY 2015 MAG Transportation Improvement Program (TIP):
The FY 2011-FY 2015 MAG TIP was approved by the MAG Regional Council on July 28, 2010. Available for download is a PDF version of the entire report and an excel spreadsheet of Highway and Transit projects (separate tabs) as reported in the approved FY2011-2015 MAG TIP.

Amendments & Administrative Modifications

Amendments & Administrative Modifications - Excel sheets. Each excel spreadsheet contains the current approved FY2011-2015 TIP with all amendments/admin mods approved to that date.

MAG Federal Fund Programming Guidelines
The purpose of the Guidelines is to establish a transparent set of programming guidelines to maximize the amount of federal CMAQ funds obligated each year, and clarify the application and programming process. The Guidelines were approved by Regional Council on October 26, 2011 and there is a memorandum and schedule for 2012, 2013, and 2014 that outlines the transition period and applicable guidelines.

Transportation Programming Guidebook
The purpose of the Guidebook is to provide MAG member agencies background information, instructions, requirements, schedules, applications forms, and contact information for different transportation programs and requirements for the RTP and MAG TIP for FY 2013. This guidebook explains the available transportation funds, funding allocations, and projections as they relate to programming transportation projects.

Changing and Adding Projects to the Current TIP
If an agency needs to make a change or add a project to the current TIP outside of the annual update, please fill out the excel sheet listed below and e-mail to Teri Kennedy.
