MAG Regional Domestic Violence Council: Making a Difference for 10 Years
PHOENIX (October 1, 2010) — Domestic violence calls are among the most common and most dangerous emergency calls police receive, generating about 49,000 police reports and resulting in a cost of $18-26 million to the criminal justice system. Ensuring that these calls are handled appropriately is the focus of a new program being highlighted as part of Domestic Violence Awareness month.
