They Keep Our Kids Safe: Here’s How They Learn
MAG hosts annual crossing guard training to get kids to school safely

Summer vacation is coming to a close, and that means young students will soon be heading back to class. Getting your kids to and from school safely is a top job for crossing guards, who receive their training through a safety program offered by the Maricopa Association of Governments (MAG).

Hundreds of crossing guards will take part in regional training workshops on July 30, 2021. The online training is coordinated by MAG and its local government partners. During the training, participants will learn essential crossing guard procedures, traffic laws regarding crosswalks, proper equipment, and how to ensure their own health and safety while keeping others safe. The training will include customized video demonstrations.

Two identical sessions will be offered, both on July 30, 2021.

First session: 9 a.m. – 11 a.m.
