Notice of Virtual-Public Listening Session for the Maricopa Association of Governments (MAG) Federal Certification Review

A Virtual-Public listening session is scheduled for Monday, August 31, 2026, to receive input on how to improve the greater Phoenix metropolitan region’s transportation planning process.

The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) will conduct the 2026 Maricopa Association of Governments (MAG) certification review to evaluate the regional transportation planning process carried out by MAG and its partners. Every four years the FHWA and the FTA jointly complete this type review and we invite the public to share its comments with

PUBLIC NOTICE ON DRAFT FISCAL YEAR 2026 TRANSIT PROGRAM OF PROJECTS

The Maricopa Association of Governments is notifying the public of the draft Fiscal Year 2026 Transit Program of Projects for review and comment. The draft Transit Program of Projects includes all projects anticipated to be funded during Fiscal Year 2026. Comments are requested by 5 p.m. on September 7, 2026.

The draft Fiscal Year 2026 Transit Program of Projects is available for review on the MAG web site at azmag.gov/26TransitPOP. Special accommodations for reviewing the draft document may be made by contacting Wendy Miller at the telephone number below. Public comments may be submitted in writing by 5 p.m. on September 7, 2026, to the address below or online by visiting azmag.gov/comment. In addition, public comments are welcomed at the MAG Management Committee meeting on September 9, 2026, at the MAG Transportation Policy Committee on September 16, 2026, and at the MAG Regional Council meeting on September 23, 2026. The public notice of public participation activities and time established for public review of and comments on the TIP will satisfy the Program of Projects requirements.
